Color blocking





Love, love, love the color blocking trend - especially when you use bright, bold colors like this neon pink and bright blue. I love tucking loose fitting shirts into skirts. And because the outfit itself is so bold and colorful, you don't want to go overboard with accessories, so I just added some more neutral accessories and shoes, which I think complete the outfit. This is definitely something I could see myself wearing (or dream about myself wearing :D). How about you guys? What do you think about color blocking?

Swim suit :)

Swim suit :)


Yesterday I went to the pool with my family. Only, I need a new swimsuit, so I had the intention of going to read. But, I got a total of about 10 pages read in about an hour and a half because I ended up people watching most of the time. There were a bunch of swimsuits that I saw yesterday that I absolutely loved, but by far, my favorite was this crocheted one piece swim suit that this woman was wearing. Only, the middle section was completely crocheted. And as soon as I got home, I went straight to Google and looked up crocheted swim suits. The first website that I clicked on was nordstrom's and it had the exact swim suit she was wearing. But, it is $130. As a 16 year-old, I don't really want to spend $130 on a swim suit, and my parents won't either. So, I can't get the swim suit. Instead, I'll just longingly stare at it all summer. Isn't it gorgeous?

Summer :)


School is FINALLY over!!! Those might just be the four best words one could say, but it is finally summer vacation! I have been ridiculously busy for the last two months; I have barely had time to catch my breath. First was the envirothon, then the AP U.S. History College Exam, and then the past few days was finals. Now I am finally done with it all, because summer vacation is here! I absolutely love summer for about a million different reasons, but one of those reasons is definitely the fashion. When I think of summer, I think of those lazy summer afternoons, and the fashion definitely goes with the carefree attitude of summer. Summer makes me think of tank tops, shorts, sandals, and oversized shirts. And, of course, you cannot forget about the hats. :)
I definitely need to go summer clothes shopping, and I think shorts and oversized tank tops are going to be my summer staple this year. What is on your shopping list for this summer? Are you on summer break yet? Comment below and tell me. Thanks. :)

Scarf

Scarf


Oh. My. Goodness. I am FINALLY done with the APUSH test. I have literally barely had a moment to breathe for the last two months because I have been so ridiculously busy. But now I have about two more weeks until finals. That's always fun, right? :) But I've got a feeling I'm still not going to be able to relax until summer vacation. And I definitely think I am going to need to find a bunch of outfits like this for the rest of the school year. I honestly do not think you can get more effortlessly cute than this, and I seriously am in love with this scarf. I have been falling even more and more in love with scarves lately, but it is definitely the perfect piece for days that you want to look cute but really put almost no effort into your outfit. :)

Oversized Cardigan


Yes, I have to admit, I definitely should have made this back in the fall because this just screams fall to me, but if I were to wait until next fall, I would definitely forget. :) But I absolutely love something like this for fall. I love cardigans in general, but oversized cardigans are even cuter. And I feel like brown boots are a must have for fall (even though I am still trying to find a good pair). But I feel like pairing brown shoes with brown accessories is just about the cutest thing you can do. And that's probably obvious because I probably have made a million outfits with brown shoes/accessories. I have recently begun loving the look of layering bracelets, too. This whole outfit just makes me wish it was fall again. :)

Update to Giveaway (Again)

Hey everyone! So, I know I have been talking about doing a giveaway, and I am still planning on doing one, but I've decided to kind of edit my nail routine first. I don't think that I really ever used a base coat before, but I (kinda belatedly) realized that if I wanted my nail polish to stay, a good base coat should help my polish last longer. And last weekend I bought a base coat that I tried out this week and I was pretty impressed.

I still have a bit of experimenting to go, though, but I do hope to have a giveaway coming up soon! So make sure to check back often for more updates! Thank you so much everyone!

White jean jacket

I absolutely love jean jackets for spring. The past few weeks, I feel like everyone has been wearing a jean jacket, because they just go with Spring. But I especially love pairing a jean jacket over a floral top. And then if you pair it with capris, and some cute accessories, you have an absolutely adorable Spring outfit. And jean jackets are so versatile; you can wear them over a huge assortment of shirts, but they look just as adorable with a dress or a skirt. And I think versatile pieces are absolutely essential to your wardrobe. :)
